Matokee, also known as plantains are a variety of banana indigenous to Uganda. It is rich in potassium, with one serving having as much potassium as two-and-a -half glasses of milk, or two-and-a-half bananas.
In contrast to dessert bananas, they can only be eaten raw when they are fully ripe.
