RECIPE : Daal Makhani

Ingredient’s Required :

 

Urad Dal Whole

¾ cup / 175g washed & soaked

 

Onion

1 large / 125g sliced

 

Garlic Paste/strong

10 cloves coarsely chopped

Tomato

1 small / 50g diced

Green Chilies

6-8 small /medium whole

Soya Leaves

1 teaspoon finely chopped

 

Curry Leaves

10 leaves

 

Oil / Ghee

¼ – ½ cup

Shan Daal Masala Mix

1 ½ – 2 tablespoons

How to cook :
  1. Soften 175g Whole Urad Dal overnight.
  2. Cook the lentils and beans until soft.
  3. Independently, cook 50g tomato paste and add 15g dal makhani masala and the boiling beans mix and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Add salt and chili flakes to taste.
  5. Add 40 g of cream and 30 g of butter and stir untill desired consistancy.
  6. Add coriander for garnish.
  7. Serve with tandoori parantha, naan or rice.
